Mustafa Halim Özyazıcı (1898 – 1964), also known as Halim Efendi, was one of the classical Ottoman calligraphy masters.
This collection of model books for ruq’a, diwani and diwani jali is one of the books still highly regarded as a go-to reference book for these scripts by contemporary masters of Arabic calligraphy.
The book is introduced in Arabic, English and Turkish. The main sections follow the usual format of mashq books presenting letters, letter combinations and word examples highlighting the correct sizes and proportions.
