This textbook, written by Turkish calligrapher Omer Faruk Dere, is based on work of Ottoman calligrapher Mehmet Sevki Efendi whose thuluth and naskh are often considered gold-standard for these scripts.
Though the book is written in Turkish, the main part presenting the letters is based on pictures and can be followed easily even by those who do not speak Turkish.
After brief introduction to the script and tools used in Arabic calligraphy, the book presents individual letters in all their forms (isolated, beginning, middle, end of the word) followed by section on joint letters and finally, examples of Sevki Efendi's naskh work.
