Bamboo qalams are probably the most frequently used type of pen primarily because bamboo sticks are widely available and are very easy to shape and cut. Their main disadvantage is that they require frequent re-cutting.
Nib of this pen has been made from spotted bamboo - a stronger bamboo variety making them last considerably longer between cuts. Nib is set in beautiful turned wood handle.
